Terms and Conditions of Hire in Brief
This abbreviated list of key Terms and Conditions of Hire is intended to make you, as the Hirer, aware of your main responsibilities. It does not replace the full version of the document, which should be read in conjunction with this list. References to relevant sections in the full document are provided. N.B. See also accompanying Covid Issues document.
1. You must comply with the overall conditions regarding Hire of the Premises – section 1
2. You must comply with Licensing requirements – section 2
3. You are responsible for the safety and welfare of all persons who attend your activity – sections 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, 4.1
4. Following Police advice and a number of near-accidents, for safety reasons you must ask guests not to park on either side of the road in front of the Hall i.e. between Stathern Road/Hall Lane and the lane to the side of the Hall – section 4.2
5. You must follow the Closing Procedure when leaving the Hall and you are solely responsible for the safekeeping of the key - sections 3.1, 5.5
6. Ad hoc inspections may be carried out by the Committee, without notice, to ensure that the Terms and Conditions of Hire are being observed – section 3
7. You must familiarize yourself with any equipment used by any persons who attend your activity – section 3.2
8. You are liable for any damage or breakages that occur during the period of hire – section 3.3
9. You and your guests must keep noise and nuisance levels down to an absolute minimum – sections 3.4, 4.2
10. You are responsible for safeguarding the welfare and interests of all children and vulnerable adults who attend your activity - sections 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, 4.1, 5.4
11. You must familiarize yourself with the Health and Safety and Fire Safety documents and procedures, located in the black Information Folder in the Kitchen and in the lobby noticeboard – section 3.7
12. You must ensure that the Premises are left in the condition in which they were provided. - sections 3.10, 5.1
13. You must make payment at the time of hire or on receipt of invoice. Failure to pre-notify cancellation will result in full payment being levied. - section 1
